Instrument Rating
Once you have obtained your private pilot license (PPL) you can choose to proceed with your instrument rating. This rating allows you to fly in weather conditions using instrument flight rules (IFR). In order to take the practical exam, you must have logged at least 50 hours of cross country time as pilot-in-command and 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time. You must also pass a written, oral and practical exam. This rating is the next step in your pilot journey. Please review steps 1-3 under the private pilot tab for more informaton of what we will need.
